Rainbows in Ketchikan Alaska are frequent. here is a shot of an emerging double rainbow from our beach/ tidal zone viewpoint. Behind us is mainland AK and a salmon running stream just out of frame.
The Path in the Alaska State park is boardwalks for most of the trail. well maintained by a small crew of well dedicated individuals, whom i like to call friends.
The massive trees here are fed by the salmon streams. the bears, the eagles and wolves all come to enjoying this wonderful resource that sacrifices itself for the next generation.
on days we have sun. the ways it finds to climb through these trees is delightfully magical. this view is of a salmon running stream where we have a beautiful viewing deck of the bears, and eagles swarming to catch their share of the salmon.
The boardwalks here on the state park trail system follows a Salmon stream up into the hills for the lunch creek loop. there surely a few bear dens hidden around the brush.

The Trees fed by the salmon here Twist in the wind storms we get. sometimes winds of 100plus mph rip through the trees causing them to have these gnarly twists that really define the beauty in these ancient trees.
