I highly recommend this locally owned tour business in Ketchikan. Booking was personal and easy to accomplish for our group of 10 including 6 kids. We were called by our guide Zach 30 mins in advance of pickup, he was flexible with time and place of pickup. We had a planned tour, but based on tide schedules and local animal patterns, he was able to adjust a bit and take us to see salmon fishing and hatchery and bald eagles – awesome! He combined a rainforest hike with tide pool exploring and adjusted our totem pole tour for kid attention spans. Cold water and snacks (fruit snacks and kind bars) were provided as well. Overall 10 stars! Can recommend more highly

Zachary was an absolutely fantastic tour guide and great driver! From the moment our tour began, his enthusiasm and passion for Alaska, nature and wildlife were contagious. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights and stories about the rainforest and native culture. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, offering helpful tips and always having a smile on his face. Our tour guide was Zach who was very knowledgeable on Ketchikan, local fauna, totem lore, etc.
It truly was a nice small group of about 10 people. Zach was personable and inquired about our interests and encouraged questions.
It allowed for a more catered tour and not standard like a recorded tour. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and gave us tips on cooking and eating some of the local plants.
He even went above and beyond when he was talking about the forest and animal dens by climbing into the den to show us how deep they go. We got to see some wildlife on the tour. There were black-tailed deer in the rainforest along the trail we were on. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it for anyone who visits Ketchikan. A nice alternative to the cruise ship excursions.”

I took the Rainforest walk/Totem Park tour hosted by Zach last week. Zach knew his way around Ketchikan and got us right to the park (after a quick stop for amazing coffee and tea). He was warm and engaging bringing out the best of our small group of travelers. I didn’t know the others in our group until this tour. We’re now lifetime friends! This was the highlight of our week long cruise. The hike was easy and showed the geography of this area. He knew these plants and explained this unusual forest ecosystem well. The stream along the path took us right out on the beach where we saw (and held) a salmon and a sea star! The totem park was crowded from other tours, but Zach found a way to show us the best totems and told some wonderful stories behind them
